Will the true Church of Jesus Christ please stand up! Will those who are on the Lord’s side please step forward! Do you know where you are right now? Are you identified with Christ? Are we, the people of God, distinguishable in the world? Does our speech or language give us away as children of God? Or condemn us as imposters in the faith? Where are the people of God? The Church is about to be exposed for what it’s lacking. Faithfulness to the God of heaven. Weariness, impatience, lethargy and complaining has replaced faith and patience.
If we’re using what’s happening in the world as a gauge for what’s happening spiritually we’re totally off course. But, if we’re using what’s happening spiritually in the church to understand where we’re headed as a nation or in the world in general, we can most certainly agree that we have lost our moral compass. There’s a lot going on around us, yet few notable changes spiritually. Where are the miracles, signs and wonders spoken of in the scriptures? Where is the evidence of the power of God moving in the church?
Pride and arrogance has taken over in the hearts of our “spiritual leaders” we no longer know who’s who. Where’s the anointing to destroy yokes and remove burdens? The Bible said the apostles were hiding for fear of the Jews after Jesus’ crucifixion (John 20) but something shifted after Jesus arose from the dead. Power was given to the church. (Acts 2)
We are recipients of that same exchange from timidity to supernatural power. So where are God’s people in the twenty-first century? Where is the evidence to a lost and dying world, that there is a better way?
After the people of God had made for themselves a golden calf, and was reveling in all manner of evil against God, the Bishop (Aaron) being the main dissident, aiding and abetting the church (God’s people) in their total disregard for God’s Word, Moses returned from Mount Sinai to find the Church in total chaos. He made this bold declaration in Exodus 32
“Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Whoever is on the Lord's side, let him come to me. And all the Levites [the priestly tribe] gathered together to him.”

Please note who came to him. Of the thousands participating in the rebellion, the Levites, the true worshippers of Yahweh stepped up. God always has a remnant. Joshua waited at the foot of the mountain for Moses so he wasn’t there. When your heart belongs to Jesus separating from what He opposes isn’t hard. The Levites had to do something that day, to prove they were on the Lord’s side. I’m sure it wasn’t easy for them, but it demonstrated who was priority in their lives. What are you prepared to do in these last days to prove your allegiance to Jesus Christ? What are you willing to walk away from, who are you willing to separate from? God is calling His people to transparency and authenticity.
Where’s the true Church of Jesus Christ? Moses said these words to the Levites after they had done what was required to prove their loyalty to Jehovah.
“And Moses said [to the Levites, By your obedience to God's command] you have consecrated yourselves today [as priests] to the Lord, each man [at the cost of being] against his own son and his own brother, that the Lord may restore and bestow His blessing upon you this day.”

In the months and years ahead, we the people of God will be sorely tested here in this country (USA). Our brothers and sisters around the world are paying a high price for standing up for their faith in Jesus. May we who profess to be followers of Jesus Christ, be found not only ready but worthy to suffer for Him. May we be ready to give an account for what we say we believe. Our works will be tested to see what it’s made of. Our testimony will be scrutinized to see if it’s genuine. Are we ready? Only you and the Lord knows the answer to the questions. May it be a resounding YES!
