3/3/21 - UNTOUCHABLE

“Who is it that is victorious over [that conquers] the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on that fact]?” ‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:5‬ ‭AMPC‬

“We know [absolutely] that anyone born of God does not [deliberately and knowingly] practice committing sin, but the One Who was begotten of God carefully watches over and protects Him [Christ's divine presence within him preserves him against the evil], and the wicked one does not lay hold (get a grip) on him or touch [him].”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:18‬ ‭AMPC‬‬

How do we become dangerous to Satan’s kingdom and impervious to his lies and schemes? The Bible offers us a bulletproof way to walk in victory. “We don’t habitually and knowingly practice sin.” We all make mistakes, and slip up from time to time, but to continue living the same lifestyle after receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior of our lives, is a welcoming sign for Satan.

We will never experience the fullness of our salvation if we hold on to our past sins. We are brand new creations in Christ, outwardly, we may look the same, but a new man has moved in. As we mature in Christ, the struggle with our flesh should lessen. Let’s look at this very familiar scripture. I can almost hear some of you quoting it, lol, so why are you still struggling? Don’t you believe that Jesus has made you new?

“Now, if anyone is enfolded into Christ, he has become an entirely new person. All that is related to the old order has vanished. Behold, everything is fresh and new.” ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Do you understand that Satan cannot just waltz into your life? He needs your permission. Before Jesus came to redeem us, he would approach God for permission to touch us, but since Jesus, he can no longer approach God. The bloodline has been drawn. Jesus is our forever Mediator. When we fess up to our mess ups, we receive immediate forgiveness. Romans 8:1-2. On the other hand, if we walk in outright rebellion, we give Satan permission to interfere in our lives.

You know I’m going to ask you to read what I’ve underlined, so go ahead. Why can’t he touch us? Read the beginning of the text. We don’t knowingly and habitually practice sin. Amen! You’ll keep your authority over the enemy, as long as you remain in constant fellowship with Jesus. The Holy Spirit will alert you to any sin that is lurking around your life. You may listen or ignore His warnings, but He will always protect those who heed. Hard heads makes soft behinds, is what our parents used to say. In Jamaica we’d say, who can’t hear will feel. Feel what? The rod of correction. Proverbs 22:15

This is what the Word says about those who can’t be touched in their moment of temptation: “We all experience times of testing, which is normal for every human being. But God will be faithful to you. He will screen and filter the severity, nature, and timing of every test or trial you face so that you can bear it. And each test is an opportunity to trust Him more, for along with every trial God has provided for you a way of escape that will bring you out of it victoriously.” ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:13‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Do you want to be a victorious untouchable? Take the escape route He’s provided for you. Don’t give the enemy a just cause. Remember when he showed up for Job? He had an agenda, but no cause. God called Job “His servant” called him righteous. But there was no mediator, between God and man. Yet, Satan could not kill him. We, have no excuses, allowing Satan access to our lives, simply because we choose to live a double life, is foolish. All we need to do as born again children of God, to keep the enemy at bay is, according to James 4:7; Submit ourselves to God, by submitting we now have the power to resist the devil, in the the Name of Jesus, and guess what happens? We put him on the run. We’re covered in the untainted blood of Jesus, Satan hates the blood, because it tells of his defeat. We have twenty-four hour Angelic protection according to Psalm 91. We have been given a complete body armor, according to Ephesians 6. So what is our problem?

We have the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, the Bible describes it as having a double edged. Satan understands the authority of the Word. He met the Word that became flesh in Luke 4. We have been given authority to use His Word. If you’re operating in the renewed mind, then you’re untouchable. Sin no longer has dominion over you, you’re victorious in every situation. Romans 6:14-15. You’re more than victorious, you’re more than a conqueror because of Jesus! Romans 8:37

Who is it that is victorious and conquers the world (the flesh and the devil)? emphasis mine. He who believes that Jesus is the Son of God. Wow! By believing that Jesus is the Son of God, we already are untouchable. Believing in what Jesus has accomplished for us on the cross, puts us in a winning position. Satan knows this, do we? If we’re living defeated lives, look in the mirror. Where and how did the enemy gain access into your life? You have been born again to a new and living way. Hebrews 10:20. It was a costly exchange. Don’t accept the devil’s lies anymore. You’re worth much more than the temporary gratification of sin. Join us in living the untouchable life. You were made for this, and for Him.

“So who are the world conquerors, defeating its power? Those who believe that Jesus is the Son of God.”

‭‭1 John‬ ‭5:5‬ ‭TPT‬‬
