Opportunities are all around us, people of God, to seize every moment for Christ and His Kingdom. Every day that we’re alive with His breath in our lungs, is a moment to do great things for God. This is a season of fear and uncertainty for most, but it shouldn’t be for people of faith. We have the answers that the world is seeking, but if we join them in their fear, we’ll forfeit the moment.
“Soldiers don’t get tied up in the affairs of civilian life, for then they cannot please the officer who enlisted them. And athletes cannot win the prize unless they follow the rules.” 2 Timothy 2:4-5 NLT
“But God’s truth stands firm like a foundation stone with this inscription: “The Lord knows those who are His,” and “All who belong to the Lord must turn away from evil.” 2 Timothy 2:19 NLT
Paul was in effect encouraging Timothy to seize his moment. Don’t become entangled in the affairs of this life, stay focused on the vision. Our main purpose in this army is to please our Enlisting Officer, the Lord Jesus Christ. We cannot become entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
“Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Galatians 5:1 KJV
If we become caught up in the things we were delivered from, it will disqualify us. We’ve come too far to lose ground people of God! We’re in a race against time. Jesus is soon to return. What is your plan of action? Or do you even have a plan? God has given us His Word and Spirit, to assist us in this journey. We cannot afford to surrender one inch of ground to the enemy.
Avoid anyone or anything that slows you down or draws you away from hearing the voice of the Lord. He’s speaking loudly and clearly in these last days. Are you listening? The command hasn’t changed. Matthew 28 is just as relevant today, as when He spoke it to the disciples.
“Jesus came and told His disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I Am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Matthew 28:18-20 NLT
Where’s your world? How are you making an impact? Seize your moment. Ask the Holy Spirit to open your eyes and ears to discern what’s happening around you. Pray for discernment and to be given a word of knowledge. The Lord will begin revealing things to you that no one knows but the individuals who are affected. When The Holy Spirit begins to operate through you in those ways, don’t hesitate, seize the moment. Life and death decisions will be made in those moments. The world needs a revelation of Jesus Christ now more than ever before. Are you up to the task? Have you been preparing for these moments of opportunity? They’re all around us.
The next time the Lord moves on your heart to speak to someone, don’t ignore His promptings. Fear has no place in the life of a Spirit filled believer. That person may never have another opportunity to hear about Jesus. Seize the moment. Separate yourself from foolishness, leave the water cooler. Give no place to the devil. Avoid gossiping and anything that grieves the Holy Spirit with whom you were sealed.
“Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them. And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, He has identified you as His own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption. Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior.”Ephesians 4:29-31 NLT
Seize the moment. The days are evil, but God is still good. Live it! Share it! You’re the only Jesus most people will ever meet. Represent Him well. Cast no shadow of doubt about who Jesus is. Let your yea be yea, and your no be no. Leave no room for questioning the character and integrity of God’s Word. Be the light, be the city on a hill that cannot be hidden. Let your words be Grace filled seasoned with the salt of God’s truth. Seize your moment.
“Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.”
Colossians 4:5-6 NLT
Be instant in an out of season, the moment is ours. Whatever He tells you to do, do it with all your might, as though today were your last. There’s an urgency in the moment, can you sense it? I pray you can. God is not looking for volunteers, He’s in search of sons and daughters who are willing to roll up their sleeves and be about His business. Are you ready to seize the moment? Then say yes to Him, and mean it with all your heart. He’s waiting for laborers, people who know the signs of the times. People who are willing to forsake all to follow Him.
“I solemnly urge you in the presence of God and Christ Jesus, who will someday judge the living and the dead when He comes to set up His Kingdom: Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching. For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths. But you should keep a clear mind in every situation. Don’t be afraid of suffering for the Lord. Work at telling others the Good News, and fully carry out the ministry God has given you.”

This is our call people of God, are you ready to take it? No more excuses, just a made up mind. Seize the moment! In Jesus Name! Let’s do this! Because it’s doable.🙏
“For God says, “At just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation. We live in such a way that no one will stumble because of us, and no one will find fault with our ministry.”
