5/13/20 - Taste and see

O taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who trusteth in Him. Psalm 34:8 kjv

ICE CREAM, CAKE, MILKSHAKE, SURF and TURF, JERK CHICKEN, RED SNAPPER, OXTAILS, yes! OXTAILS, I’m Jamaican ok🙄so add your own food lol. My personal comfort food; ALL kinds of salty or raw nuts. If you enjoy desserts or just food in general, just reading these things, may have brought you to your sweet place. Let the church say Ament!! My Madea impersonation. O lawd they’re asking who’s Madea? 🤦‍♀️ lol

But what happens on the inside of you when I say; JESUS, LOVER, REDEEMER, LORD, HEALER, PROVIDER, COMFORTER, DELIVERER, FATHER and FRIEND? My heart is dancing right now! For you see my friends, nothing I named earlier will ever give you lasting satisfaction, it tastes good for the moment. Satisfying the palate, it’s pleasing to the eyes, but it comes to an end. Temporary satisfaction. Not so with my Jesus....I’m all dreamy right now. Lol I can have all the Jesus I want and need and not gain weight LOL; but in all seriousness, your response speaks volumes.

Isaiah asked this question in chapter 55: Why spend money on what is not bread, and your labor on what does not satisfy? Listen, listen to me, and eat what is good. If Isaiah, speaking under the unction of the Holy Spirit said listen twice, he was exclaiming and pleading with us to heed or accept what was being offered. David in his reflection was exclaiming out loud to himself; and also inviting us to TASTE and SEE! Same urgency. Isaiah’s began as a question, David began with an invitation.

Your appetite will determine your waistline. You can choose a spiritual diet that will shape your eternal destiny, or a natural diet that also shapes your eternal destiny. Isaiah calls the latter wasting or spending on what is not the true Bread. (Isaiah 55) Jesus said in John chapter 6. “I AM the Bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in Me will never be thirsty.” Isn’t that what David is saying in Psalm 34? Remember when I named the goodies? What happened? It created an image in your mind. So David, probably reflecting on all that God had done for him, suddenly exclaimed! O taste and see that the Lord is good, blessed, highly favored and to be envied, is the man/woman who trust in Him!!

Are you hungry, thirsty, longing for something more out of life? Hunger and thirst no more! Be disillusioned and frustrated no longer. The Answer is closer than you think. Taste and see that the Lord is good. Remember your Name has been changed; that is if you know Him as Savior and Lord. If you don’t, what are you waiting for?? Listen to this invitation. Jesus speaking. “Behold! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice, and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.” Revelation 3:20. There’s always a perpetual feast, whenever Jesus is invited in. So what do you say? Will you answer the knock and open the door? 🙏

Father in the Name of Jesus I have opened the door/ or desire to open the door. If I’m not where I need to be please help me move towards you. The things I desire only temporarily satisfy. Give me that Living Water, give me The Bread of Life, so I’ll never hunger or thirst again. In Jesus Name. Amen

Nothing and no one, satisfies like Jesus.
