5-25-21 A LITTLE BIT OF FAITH IS BETTER THAN NO FAITH

So if God has clothed the meadow with hay, which is here for such a short time and then dried up and burned, won’t He provide for you the clothes you need—you of little faith?” Matthew‬ ‭6:30‬ ‭TPT‬‬

God has given a measure of faith to all of His children so that we’re not competing against each other. It is also the standard by which we correctly appraise ourselves. We did nothing to earn this faith, but rather it was given to us by the grace of God. Everything we do from the moment we receive Jesus Christ as our Savior moving forward, is done by faith. Hebrews 11. What we do with the measure determines whether we grow, or like the story of the talents, we bury it. Faith, like a mustard seed, has the potential to become beneficial to those around us when used correctly. Hence Paul’s warning to the church in Rome. And Jesus’ encouragement to His disciples.

Because of the privilege and authority God has given me, I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.” Romans‬ ‭12:3‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible. ” Matthew‬ ‭17:20‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Nothing would be impossible to us even with little faith put into action. Operating in faith commands a response from heaven. A baby Christian with activated faith can get results beyond their ability to comprehend if they’re never taught to doubt the Word of God. Faith in action takes the promises of God literally. If God said it, its settled in our hearts. Nothing or no one can shake our confidence in His Word. The more believing faith is exercised, the stronger the foundation of that believer will be. Satan trembles when we walk by faith and not by sight. God is glorified in Jesus, whenever we believe His Word and act on it.

Start with the measure you’ve been given. If you used to running for the Advil, now believe God for the headache to leave on its own according to the Word of God. Psalm 103 says “all” our diseases were healed. Instead of looking for a handout, activate your faith to believe for that employment, believing that God shall supply all your need. Philippians 4:19. As the answers come in big or small ways, praise Him! Your faith begins to grow in the manifestation of things hoped for. Hebrews 11:1.

Don’t be discouraged by the great testimonies of others. Everything in the kingdom begins in seed form. Whatever you nurture will grow, search the scriptures for something you’ve been believing for, stand on the promises of the revelation you have received. Begin praising God for the manifestation believing that you’ve already received what you’ve asked for. Mark 11:23-24. Don’t go digging up the seed to see how it’s doing, that’s doubt or being double minded. James1:6-8. Just keep thanking Jesus that you have it. His will is to give you the desires of your heart according to His Word. That’s why I said find the promise in the Word. He watches over His Word to perform it. Jeremiah 1:12

It’s not just the size of your faith that matters, it’s the size of your believing. Since we know that He cannot lie, Numbers 23:19, then we have confidence in our asking. 1 John 5:14-15. Little faith can move big mountains. No faith moves nothing. So get to work. Start believing His promises. Don’t trust in yourself, trust in Him. Proverbs 3:5-6. Watch your faith grow into a tree that supports others. That’s the kingdom principles that we have been privileged to be a part of. Don’t despise the days of small beginnings. Zechariah 4:10

“Jesus said, “How can I describe the Kingdom of God? What story should I use to illustrate it? It is like a mustard seed planted in the ground. It is the smallest of all seeds, but it becomes the largest of all garden plants; it grows long branches, and birds can make nests in its shade.”

‭‭Mark‬ ‭4:30-32‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Our Heavenly Father gave us exactly what we need to be successful in this life. But it requires our participation. I can provide a feast for you, but it does require you showing up and partaking of it. So many Christians are starving seated at the banquet feast of the Lord. Read all of Matthew 6. Discover the many ways He takes care or has provided for us. Step up and out, it’s yours! Oh ye of little faith.
