6/9/21- HE KNOWS ALL ABOUT ME?

Do you believe that? Or do you believe the lies of the enemy that you’re all alone, no one sees or even cares about you? That may be true of people, but not your Abba. He knows all about you, your deepest darkest thoughts, your desires, dreams and aspirations. He knows it all because He created you for bigger and better things. Things greater than your wildest imaginations. He sees our beginnings and stands at the end. He loved you before you were conceived Jeremiah 1:5. No one loves you more deeply, or has your future planned out. Jeremiah 29:11. Your parents‘ love is no comparison, but there’s one catch. You must choose to believe that He does.

I believe I know my daughter very well. I also love my daughter very much and now my son. There isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for them. But I’m limited in every way possible in being a good substitute. But not Abba, He knows things about us we don’t know about ourselves. He knows and loves us warts and all. We can’t hide from His searching eyes. We can’t escape His unconditional love. But there’s a catch: We must choose to believe that it’s true.

Believing is the pathway to a vibrant Christian life. Believing is the key to unlocking His heart. Jesus was always cheering on believing faith. Why? It’s the only way to an open heaven. When we finally believe that He knows everything, it frees us to boldly approach His throne of Grace. Hebrews 4:16 we just need to face the truth that He knows all about us. David discovered that truth, and wrote the most eloquent, open hearted letter of acknowledgment and gratitude, I’ve ever had the privilege of reading. I praise God for including these personal expressions of love. Nakedness before the all knowing all seeing God is the best covering. I highly recommend it. It’s vulnerability and freedom wrapped in a comfy blanket. But there’s a catch: You must release yourself to Him.

There are no accidents in God-Only appointments. We don’t stumble upon His plans, they’re well thought out. We don’t struggle with it, we, through believing faith, receive and embrace His will for us. But there’s a catch. We must accept His offer and believe that He knows what’s best for us. He’s the God who knows all about us. How we see, hear and read God’s Word has a lot to do with how we process and receive the truth of His Word. The promises are ours. But there’s a catch. We must be willing to do what the Word says. I know, I know! You want proof that He does know everything about you. But there’s a catch: You must come with an open, trusting and believing heart.

You have searched me, Lord, and You know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; You perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; You are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue You, Lord, know it completely. You hem me in behind and before, and You lay Your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too lofty for me to attain. Where can I go from Your Spirit? Where can I flee from Your presence? If I go up to the heavens, You are there; if I make my bed in the depths, You are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there Your hand will guide me, Your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to You; the night will shine like the day, for darkness is as light to You. For You created my inmost being; You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise You because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Your works are wonderful, I know that full well. My frame was not hidden from You when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth. Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in Your book before one of them came to be. How precious to me are Your thoughts, God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with You.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭139:1-18‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Convinced? Scary and wonderful all at the same time isn’t it? There are no secrets in this relationship. Everything is on the up and up. He hides nothing from us and we shouldn’t try to hide anything from Him. Jesus hung on a cross, stripped of His dignity. Beaten bruised and disrespected. Yet, He did it willingly because He knows everything about us, He knew that we needed His sacrifice. We needed saving. For Him, the biggest catch was you and me. He would gladly do it all again. But because the sacrifice was perfect, there’s no need. But there’s a catch. It’s free!

He knows all about us. Yup! Even that unthought of thought, and that unspoken word. WT
