8/6/21-BORN ROYAL

If we truly believed that we’d never live another day as a commoner. The day we gave our hearts and lives in full surrender to Jesus Christ we became royalty. If it’s true in the earthly monarchy, then it’s true in the heavenly kingdom. We may choose to step away or even try denying who we are by ignoring our responsibility as His children, but the title is written in blood and cannot be changed. You can try to live as a commoner and even dabble in other things to fit in like Prince Harry, but when you’re born royal it’s more than a title, it’s in your bloodline you are family no matter what.

I was in prayer when that thought came to mind. Before we were even conceived Our King made provisions to change our names and earthly status. Kate Middleton and even Meagan Markel will never be commoners because they married a prince. They can desire or even try to go back to their old lifestyles, but even if they divorce their prince their titles remain. We are the bride (male and female) of Christ. King Jesus chose us before the earth was formed. And through the process of reconciliation redeemed us and gave us His Name. Presented us to His Father who wholeheartedly approved of our acceptance in the Royal Family.

“All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding. God has now revealed to us his mysterious will regarding Christ—which is to fulfill his own good plan. And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:3-11‬ ‭NLT‬‬

To further assure us of our royal position, He went farther than any earthly monarchy because He always does exceedingly and abundantly more, He sent yet another seal of approval to those who are willing to remain royalty and bear His resemblance.

“And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.” ‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭1:13-14‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Are you still skeptical about being royal? Prince Harry and his wife may not feel like royals but they are. Royalty isn’t a feeling that you abscond, it’s who you are. They may desire to be commoners, even do what commoners do, but when you’re born into the bloodline, you can’t change it. You may walk away, but you still are. Judas was chosen by Jesus to be royalty, he enjoyed the privileges of being in the royal family, he chose to walk away but he died a disciple of Jesus Christ. The title wasn’t changed. Harry chose to walk away or step down from his royal duties, but if he died today, he’s still prince Harry. Are you getting the picture?

“But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for He called you out of the darkness into His wonderful light. “Once you had no identity as a people; now you are God’s people. Once you received no mercy; now you have received God’s mercy.””

‭‭1 Peter‬ ‭2:9-10‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Grace be unto you, and peace, from Him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before His throne; and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the Prince of the kings of the earth. Unto Him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in His own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and His Father; to Him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” Revelation‬ ‭1:4-6‬ ‭KJV‬‬

We have been born royal through everything Jesus has suffered for us. We act and behave as commoners because we don’t know our privileges as kings and priests. All we need to do is read what has been written in the annals of Biblical history. It’s all there written down for us. Unlike earthly kings and priests, we are given the freedom to choose if we want to be a part of the Royal Family, it’s not forced upon us, but the way was made for our induction before we were born as we have read. The dynasties of this world will fade away, but this Kingdom to which we are called is an everlasting Kingdom.

“Then the sovereignty, power, and greatness of all the kingdoms under heaven will be given to the holy people of the Most High. His kingdom will last forever, and all rulers will serve and obey him.” Daniel‬ ‭7:27‬ ‭NLT‬‬

The most High God has great plans for us. Earthly kingdoms will be subject to us under the leadership of our Great King. We are being groomed by the Holy Spirit to take positions in the new earth, just as Prince William and Kate are in the earthly monarchy. We can’t afford to relinquish our positions to drudgery. We can’t afford to be lackadaisical in our approach to our royal duties. We have been chosen for this role. Many received the call but few responded, are you among the chosen? The chosen are those who do not offer lip service to the call to royalty but wholeheartedly accept and embrace the King of kings and Lord of lords. We are then given a robe of righteousness at our coronation, this isn’t a garment to be set aside, indeed it can’t be because it’s internal. As we draw closer to our King His righteousness not only covers us but flows through us. We became or were made righteous (royal) through our union (family ties) with Him.

“For God made the only One who did not know sin to become sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God through our union with Him.” 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:21‬ ‭TPT‬‬

We were purposefully made to be royal. Royal blood was shed for us . We’re not ordinary or common no matter what we may have been told or believe about ourselves. If Jesus Christ is the Lord of your life you are born royal. As Christian parents we must impress that upon our children/His children. If they are born to you they are in the lineage. We just wait too long to tell them who they are. Prince William and Harry knew at a young age who they were, we need to be confident in who we are so that our children won’t seek their identity in things unbecoming of royalty. There should be no identity crisis in the Kingdom of God.

“For through the eternal and living Word of God you have been born again. And this “Seed” that He planted within you can never be destroyed but will live and grow inside of you forever. For: Human beings are frail and temporary, like grass, and the glory of man fleeting like blossoms of the field. The grass dries and withers and the flowers fall off, but the Word of the Lord endures forever! And this is the Word that was announced to you!” 1 Peter‬ ‭1:23-25‬ ‭TPT‬‬

Peter is reminding us about how we came to know we’re royalty. We found out through the Word. And the royal Seed that has been planted in us can never be destroyed. It’s like I said earlier, we can choose to walk away but we will always in the mind of God be a part of His family. He always welcomes prodigals. We can’t erase the title. The Word that declares who we are in Christ will endure forever. Harry may have left England and his duties behind. But he is forever Prince Harry. The benefits are still his to refuse or accept. So it is with us. It’s always a choice, our choice, but Royal Blood still flows through our veins.
